Jabez Wilds Dies at Danville, IL

JABEZ WILDS, 79, former resident of Clinton and Universal, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dick Thomas of Rural Route 4, Danville, IL, formerly of Universal, at 9:40 o'clock last night following a long illness. Mr. Wilds was a miner in this vicinity for many years, and his son-in-law, Mr. Thomas, was formerly superintendent of the Bunsen Mine.

Surviving besides the daughter are 2 sons, John Wilds of Universal and Jarvis Wilds of Gary; one sister, Mr. Hannah Fillinger of Buchtel, OH; 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

The body was brought to Frist's Funeral Home, where it will remain until tomorrow afternoon when it will be taken to the home of a niece of Mr. Wilds, Mrs. Richard Felkin, 635 South Eighth Street. Funeral services will be held at the Felkin home at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, with the Rev. E.D. Thistlethwaite in charge. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.2
